Join the HER+Data MCR group at Manchester digital agency, e3creative (Part of Dept) for a social event and panel discussion led by accomplished women in the digital/ tech industry. The theme for the evening is the challenges women in male-dominated fields face and this event is for women to learn from each other by asking questions and growing their professional network. The panel is made up of the four women described below:
Melissa Hermitt is the Operations Director at Dept Agency in the Manchester studio. Mel is an experienced digital professional with 10 years of experience in the sector leading a variety of roles including digital marketing, client services, project management and most recently operations. She has worked closely with senior and c-level stakeholders, managing large scale international projects across many industries (including regulated industries for gambling and tobacco). In her present role, Mel oversees project delivery, operational excellence and capacity management. She is passionate about empowering teams to make decisions and championing the profile of women in the digital arena.
Zainab Peera is Head of Settlements - New Acquiring Platform (NAP) at Worldpay. Zainab was born in Tanzania, grew up in Sweden and moved to the UK at the age of 19. As a graduate from MMU in Marketing Management, she started her career within the marketing industry and then worked in several industries including Healthcare, Oil and Gas and financial acquiring. Zainab Currently oversees a state of the art project within her sector at Worldpay delivering a separation programme from RBS. During this time Zainab successfully completed her Masters within International Payments Ecosystem from Middlesex University, London. Outside of work Zainab enjoys socialising with family and friends and a passion for travel.
Bethan Blakeley is Director at Honeycomb. Bethan has been working in market research and analytics for almost a decade, with the overarching goal of bringing the two closer together. In 2018 she co-founded Honeycomb Analytics, an agency that exists to do exactly that: bring together WHAT customers do with WHY they do it. She is an advocate of utilising existing data and fusing different sources to give a clearer idea of context. This involves using data that is publicly available, existing business data and insight, and primary research.
Leanne Fitzpatrick is Head of Data at Hello Soda. Leanne is a passionate data leader with experience developing, implementing and growing a data science and analytics function, and is an advocate of data science in production. Leanne is an Advisory Panel board member at the University of Sheffield Information School, was shortlisted for Young Leader of the Year in the Women in IT 2018 awards, and more recently is a finalist for the Women in Identity awards. She enjoys great food, drink and music, is a keen American Football fan and is attempting to get into golf.
