e3creative High Points of 2018.

Valerie Lalonde

19th December 2018

2018 was an incredible year for e3creative comprised of unforgettable moments and agency milestones. As the calendar year reaches an end, our team is reflecting on individuals successes in leading seminars and completing training programmes. In addition to the agency’s achievements ranging from launching pioneering digital platforms and marketing campaigns to joining hands with influential brands, winning top agency awards, and partnering with charities. It was such an eventful year and in no particular order - these are the top 5 highlights that made the e3creative ‘best of’ list for 2018.

Launching the Ascot Website

Following years of collaborating, e3creative and Ascot released a brand new corporate website. The image-led platform encapsulates the fashion, flare and excitement of visiting the Ascot grounds, through showcasing their world-class events and hospitality venues in immersive ways. Our UX and CRO teams spent a significant amount of time researching to compile key audience personas and plan straightforward customer journeys. The re-launch was a large success and won several awards for innovation and performance. In addition, despite a significant reduction in pages, the new website attributed to a 21.32% year on year increase in revenues generated through the platform and 26.38% year on year increase in average session duration.

Hosting Events in our Manchester Studio

e3creative is spread across two floors in Manchester city centre in a studio space designed to blur the line between work and leisure. This year the agency hosted a series of industry-related events to connect with our peers, discuss trends, share knowledge and lead workshops. Subjects ranged from client communication to mobile development, diversity in the digital sector, digital marketing, and design. In addition, e3creative introduced the Manchester Dribbble Meetup with regular social events. Feedback from guests has been positive with many gaining new insight and knowledge to progress professionally, as well as meeting new connections that have opened doors to new opportunities.

Introducing The Mara Foundation

The Mara Foundation was launched in the name and memory of Mike Mara, an influential designer that passed away from cancer, to celebrate his strengths and echo his legacy spirit of generosity. Informal pathway programmes were created for aspirational craftsmen to unleash their talent and jumpstart their career through realistic but challenging opportunities. A 12-month internship was offered to graphic design students in their final year and Jasmine Thomas started her placement at e3creative in June and has been excelling since. The agency also welcomed work experience students from various colleges and entered into a partnership with The Manchester Youth Zone. e3creative opened a Mac computer lab in their Harpurhey centre and hosts weekly coding sessions.

Strengthening our Team

Internal agency advancements were underway throughout the year to strengthen e3creative’s position as a fully integrated digital agency. New processes and studio modifications have proven to spark creativity and create a more dynamic working environment. This involved tearing down walls to develop a more open floor plan with additional wall space for mood boarding, workshops, and general collaboration. New team members were hired and the senior management team was restructured to streamline processes throughout departments for a consistently polished output. As the business grows, more of an emphasis is spent on establishing a culture and getting together as a team with organised agency away days, cinema Fridays and yoga Tuesdays, as well as leading internal lunch and learn sessions.

Joining Hands with O2

Since e3creative was incorporated 8-years ago, we set out to partner with brands that want to innovate through great technology and strategic direction and as a backbone in the telecoms industry, O2 certainly fall into that remit. In August of this year, e3creative welcomed O2 into the agency following a competitive and rigorous tendering process. It’s been a year of new beginnings for the agency and O2 stands out as a brand that we highly respect and are proud to join hands with to drive Pay As You Go sim card distribution and sim card activation across the UK through digital tools and ongoing marketing strategies.

As the team looks back at these high points, we’re full of ambition and planning for the year ahead, which will undoubtedly be another record-breaker for e3creative. Stay tuned for agency announcements and get in touch if you’d like to collaborate in the new year.
