Last year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign e3creative conceptualised and executed for PlayStation Gear, the official merchandising platform for Sony PlayStation, won the Best Digital Marketing Campaign Award in the 2018 Northern Marketing Awards. On 14 November, the trophy was presented to our multidisciplinary team at a ceremony rewarding excellence, creativity and achievements of the marketing industry across the North.
The goal of the award-winning Black Friday campaign was to achieve widespread brand awareness and ultimately product desire amongst those connected, active or influential in the gaming community, throughout various European territories, to encourage pre-Christmas sales and the long-term success of PlayStation Gear since the platform was only launched 6 months prior to the campaign. The campaign secured the corporate backing of PlayStation and worked alongside them, as well as lead an independent, creative strategy online for full control over direct targeting and engagement of the merchandising platform using the Google Display Network, outreach and social media, among other channels. The 8-day campaign was a huge success measured on levels of traffic to the website (new and returning) as well as sales.
